I often call myself the "first customer service," and I like that. In Bian, all colleagues who enter management, first-line passenger service in the first month, have to return to shifts every quarter — and so do myself. Last year in Dubai, a Kenyan young man stopped me while he was out. He sends his salary home to his mother every month through a coin. He didn't ask about block chain structures, he didn't ask about token economics。He just wanted me to know how much money Mom is collecting now and how much money she's missing on the road. He doesn't need to be “educated” about encrypted money, he needs a viable product。

He's not an example. Over the past five years, more than 34 million people have completed remittances through Binance Pay on a cumulative scale of over $87 billion. Based on World Bank average global remittance rates of 6.36 per cent, we saved users over $5 billion-- – Instead of disappearing to the agents, the money went back to the family table, to the school fees of the children and to the start-up funds for small businesses。

That door, we have to open it

I was born in a small village in Sichuan, the kind of place you're hard to find on the map. When I was a kid, I had to get some kerosene lights to do my homework。

At the age of 9, when my father died, my uncle said to his mother, “It would be better to keep the money for your son to marry his daughter-in-law after all the girls have studied”. But my mother was so stubborn, she was a substitute teacher, she grew up, she was a man who fed me and sent me to college。

In India's second and third-line cities, there's a group of 36 to 50-year-old women. Their mothers had never had their own bank accounts in their lifetime and they had not had them a year earlier. Over the past year, they have become one of our fastest growing user groups. Those who are not listening are quietly taking their judgment, their money, their family's future, their right to know, to make decisions from old systems into a faster, more efficient and lower-cost financial world, and they're starting to think, for the first time 12 years ago, of what is money? This is more important than any grand narrative。

During these years, Money Ann has done thousands of small things in villages in South Africa, Brazil and India:Scholarships, training, basic financial literacy。They are not large, but they are happening in one place. I don't like the word “enabling women”. It sounds like someone's holding the key and deciding whether to open the door or not。What I'd rather do was tear that door down and let more people come in。It is up to them to decide who they are and what their lives are。

3. From 300 million to 3 billion

When we said that the money was going to serve a billion users, outside people thought we were out of our minds, and today we have more than 300 million users, and one billion are no longer distant dreams. So this year we changed the target to 3 billion。

To be honest, before I said that, I thought: Isn't that right? Are we good enough? But one thing I'm sure of:If we don't set the target here, no one will set it for 3 billion people。

Three billion, or approximately adults, are today outside the formal financial system. That means that what we're going to do is not just an encrypted money exchange, but a financial infrastructure that can hold up the daily lives of 3 billion people。

AI IS IN THE PROCESS OF RESHAPING PRODUCTIVITY. BUT IF PRODUCTIVITY BELONGS TO ONLY A FEW COMPANIES, IT IS NOT A REVOLUTION, IT IS A NEW MONOPOLY. OVER THE PAST YEAR, WE HAVE PUT IN THE HANDS OF ORDINARY USERS MANY OF THE TOOLS THAT USED TO BE AFFORDABLE ONLY TO PROFESSIONAL INSTITUTIONS: A PERSON WHO DOESN'T KNOW THE CODE CAN ALSO GET AI TO HELP HIM OPTIMIZE HIS DECISION-MAKING; AND A PERSON WHO FIRST COMES INTO CONTACT WITH ENCRYPTION CAN ASK QUESTIONS IN NATURAL LANGUAGES. FINANCE SHOULD NOT BE A MINORITY LANGUAGE。

THERE'S ANOTHER THING THAT THE BLOCK CHAIN HAS TO DO: LET EVERYONE WHO USES AI GET THEIR SHARE OF THE VALUE THAT AI CREATES. TOGETHER, THESE TWO THINGS WILL MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO RISE FROM 300 MILLION TO 3 BILLION。

There is a very simple saying: if you do not like the world, then change it. I went step by step from Sichuan's small village to the city, to the city, to the world, and I knew better than anyone that the world you wanted was like Rome and would not be built in a day。

So let's get back to work, day by day, and not give。
