market-based trading bot is basically a thing: rules-driven, parameters are fixed, they stay on the line and market style changes。

But the product we're introducing today is not that way。

What can it do for you

1. Automation of market research

On this side of the data, OpenAlice has an engine called TypeBB, based on OpenBB, which supports stock patterns, encrypted currency, foreign exchange, macroeconomic indicators, and BLS labour data. Technical analysis is done using formula syntax for class Excel, and you write SMA (close, 20) and it gives you a 20-day mean。

Alice can also monitor your RSS sources on a continuous basis and automatically capture, archive, and analyse relevant information. For example, you let it focus on all of the Fed's interest rates, and it's going to read it out, take stock of the impact, and decide whether it's Lido or Space。

2. Multi-asset situation analysis

Support stocks, encrypted currency, foreign exchange, options, futures, ETF. The built-in Excel Technical Analysis Formula Engine (based on OpenBB) allows the calculation of indicators such as mobile mean, RSI, Brink Belt and supports macrodata (e.g. US Department of Labor BLS data)。

3. Self-employed

OpenAlice supports more than 100 encrypted exchanges, which include Binance, OKX, and Bybit. In addition to asset transactions in the encryption industry, United States shares and stock options are covered。

After AI's analysis, you get the "stage" order, and then you see a note "confirm the buy-in," which is the equivalent of a company, and you push it to the issuer. I won't go around buying myself。

Wind shield

Each account has a set of "Guard Pipeline" to set the single maximum warehouse space, the time of cooling the transaction, and only to allow the trade to take place on certain points. AI is smart enough to get through this。

The listed company studies this area, and OpenAlice can pull financial statements, analyst expectations, internal transactions, financial calendars to help you do basic face analysis。

6 Ongoing + Memory

Alice has a persistent "cognitive state" that remembers the last analysis, emotional tracking (Yes, it has "emotional" to influence the style of decision-making) and supports the memory of cross-talking. You don't have to repeat it every time。

Three basic design principles

OpenAlice has three design principles that deserve to be said alone。

1. Document-driven

OpenAlice is in a local data/ folder. Markdown file, JSON configuration, dialogue log, human readable。

You turn on the text editor to see OpenAlice, remember what, what you think. There's no database, there's no cloud, there's data sovereignty。

No database, no cloud sync, no place you don't know. In other words, you have full data sovereignty。

II. ELIMINATION DRUGS

OpenAlice does not rely on the rules, but on continuous reasoning: read the story, read the news, calculate the indicators, then make a judgement, what should be done now, why, and where is the risk. There is a complete chain of reasoning behind each decision, visible in real time, not black boxes。

3. Operating systems Native

Alice can directly call your operating system capabilities: search the web page through browsers, send you messages through iMessage, and even wake you up when you need a soundbox connecting to the local network. Not the API in the sandbox, the real system access。

Users can also connect large models of local hosting as Alice's "brain" and not even model-level data。

Alice, what are the specific applications

Scenario one: Control of the encrypted currency band of transactions

For example, if you hold BTC and ETH, you can get Alice to stare at K-line and Coindesk News for four hours. Alice automatically generates analysis when a Fed official makes a "dove speech" or a "bTC before breaking high" news or movement like that, + suggests a silo program, push it to your Telegram, and you confirm the second key。

Scene two: The US stock season

Before the financial season, Alice can sort out for you the expectations of the analysts of your warehouse company, the performance of the historical accounts, and produce a comparative report that tells you which ones are "high-predictable". Alice will also remind you on the day the financial statements are released and analyze the results at the first opportunity。

Scene III: Natural Language List

You can just say in the Web UI chat box, "I think the technology unit will be under pressure in the near future, and help me reduce the NVDA position by 30%, in three days, at the average price per day."

Alice will then dismantle the task, calculate the price range, and make three orders for you to confirm one by one。

Scene four: 24/7 Unattended

You can set Alice to check the hold risk once an hour if a warehouse loss exceeds 5%, wake you up through iMessage or Telegram. Real realization, people sleeping, AI on the tray。

How does it control itself

THE GREATEST RISK OF AUTOMATIC TRADING IS THAT AI DOES WHAT YOU DON'T WANT TO DO WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW。

By three levels, OpenAlice blocked this possibility at the structural level。

One, as mentioned earlier, OpenAlice has all the status in the local data/ folder. We can see what it is thinking and remember what it is。

OpenAlice’s team believes that it is not safe in itself to hold accounts in the cloud for a system that touches real money, and that local operations are the right form of trading agents, whatever the technology。

And the next line, the route is the same as Git. That means OpenAlice cannot execute the order on its own. You have to confirm it, sign it, push it again. Without your two operations, Alice can't touch the real money。

And on OpenAlice, each account has a separate Guard Pipeline. Single warehouse ceilings, trading time cooling, standard white lists, set yourself up, Alice won't get around. If the strategy is radical, it won't get through。

A few questions that don't answer

Use OpenAlice is not demanding, but it is not a zero threshold。

First you need Node.js over 22, pnpm over 10, and Claude Code CLI to log in. The whole process, people who know a little command line can run in two hours. I don't know. It's probably stuck in the environment for a day。

OpenAlice currently has more than 3100stars, 425 fork, 463 submissions in GitHub。

Open source occurred in early 2026. According to the author, maintaining a commercial product requires a pricing scheme, a production environment, a licensing system, which gives him no time to get Alice himself done. It's open, but it's focused on the core。

The team has only one request: no matter what you ask, keep Alice's name。

In the direction of subsequent commercialization, the authors envisage three categories: data subscriptions, hosting services, transactional fees, etc. But he said before that, put Alice right, that's all that matters。

But can reasoning-driven decision-making continue to make money in real markets

Not necessarily。

After all, Alice's decision-making quality depends directly on the big bottom model. Large models can be hallucinating, news misleading and technical indicators pass out. The extent to which Guard Pipeline and manual approvals can make up for this depends on the market environment and there are no retrospects available。

Even if the tools are stronger, they may not guarantee that our deal will succeed。

And the official point is that this is an experimental software that doesn't recommend real money unless you fully understand and accept the risks。
